Waifus in NadekoBot
Waifus are an economy game in NadekoBot. Members opt in as waifus, fans back a waifu with the Nadeko Flowers in their bank, and a manager buys the right to manage it. At the end of each cycle (24 hours by default), NadekoBot pays the waifu, the manager and the fans.
Waifus, fans and managers
A waifu opts in and earns the waifu fee from each cycle. A fan backs one waifu with their bank balance and gets a share of the returns. A manager buys the manager position and gets a cut of the waifu fee.
You can have all three roles at once - you don't have to be a waifu to be a fan or a manager, but you can't back or manage yourself. The opt-in cost, bids and gifts come out of your cash, and payouts go back into it.
.waifu shows a waifu's card: mood and food, fans, manager, price and the time of the next payout. .waifuhelp shows a short overview in Discord.

Become a waifu
Opt in with .waifuoptin - it costs 10,000 flowers by default. Then set your waifu fee with .waifufee: it is your share of each cycle's returns, from 1% to 5%, and a new waifu starts at 5%.
To leave, type .waifuoptout. You can leave only when no fans back you, and your manager loses the position.

Back a waifu as a fan
Backing costs nothing - your flowers stay in your bank, and only your bank balance counts. Put flowers there with .bank deposit, then back a waifu with .waifuback. You back one waifu at a time.
NadekoBot reads your bank balance when a cycle starts, so a deposit counts from the next cycle. .waifuback with another member switches to that waifu after you confirm, and .waifuback with no member stops backing.

Buy the manager position
Bid with .waifubuy and the amount. By default the bid must be at least 15% more than the waifu's price, and it becomes the new price. NadekoBot asks you to confirm, then splits the bid: the previous manager gets back up to the old price, the waifu gets half of the rest, and the other half leaves the economy.
A waifu earns returns only while it has a manager. .waifuresign stops managing a waifu - you get no refund, and its price drops to 1,000 flowers by default.

How a cycle pays
At the end of each cycle, NadekoBot works out the returns of every waifu that has a manager: the bank balance of all its fans (counted up to 1,000,000 flowers), times a rate of 17% a year split over the cycles of the year, times the waifu's stats. Full mood and food pay 100%, and empty stats pay nothing. These are the defaults.
The waifu fee goes to the waifu, and the manager gets 15% of it. The fans share the rest of the returns in proportion to their bank balance. For example, fans with 1,000,000 flowers in the bank behind a waifu with full stats and a 5% fee make about 465 flowers a cycle: about 23 for the fee (3 of it for the manager) and about 442 for the fans.
Payouts add up until you collect them with .waifupayout. .waifuleaderboard ranks the waifus by backing, or by price.

Mood, food and gifts
Mood and food go from 0% to 100%, and each goes down by 1.2% a day. Keep them high and the waifu, its manager and its fans get more.
.hug, .kiss and .pat raise the mood of the waifu you mention, and .nom raises its food. Each member gets 2 of these actions a day by default, and patrons get 3.
Gifts raise mood or food too. .waifugiftshop shows today's gifts - the shop changes them every day at 00:00 UTC. Give one with .waifugift, or several by putting the count and an x before the item, with no space: .waifugift 5xcookie @sakura.

Questions about NadekoBot waifus
Do I lose my flowers when I back a waifu?
No - backing costs nothing, and your flowers stay in your bank. NadekoBot only reads your bank balance when a cycle starts. You can take them out with .bank withdraw at any time, and they stop counting from the next cycle.
Why does my waifu earn nothing?
A waifu earns only while it has a manager, and its returns go down with its mood and food. Check its card with .waifu @sakura.
How do I leave the waifu system?
Type .waifuoptout. You can leave only when no fans back you, and your manager loses the position.
What happened to claiming waifus?
Claiming is now buying the manager position. The old commands still work: .wclaim runs .waifubuy and .wdivorce runs .waifuresign.
Can I change the prices and rates on my own bot?
Yes - on a bot you host yourself, the prices, rates, limits and gifts are in data/waifu.yml. The numbers on this page are the defaults. The fee range of 1% to 5% is fixed.
