The NadekoBot AI agent

Start a message with a mention of the bot, or use .agent: "@Nadeko what's the weather like in Paris", "@Nadeko remind me to check the oven in 5 minutes", "@Nadeko delete greet messages after 30 seconds". The agent works out which commands to run, runs them and tells you what it did.

Natural language is almost always longer than the command itself. It helps most when you don't know whether a command exists, or how to use it.

Reply to the agent's answer, or keep talking in the same channel for 2 minutes, and it continues the conversation. .agentcancel stops an answer that is still running.

The agent only runs existing NadekoBot commands, and it runs them as you: it can do only what you could do with the same commands, and it never runs owner-only commands. It is not magic - if something should work and doesn't, suggest it.

It works in server channels, not in DMs. It keeps the conversation in memory only, forgets a channel after 30 minutes without activity, and reads your private data, such as your reminders, only for you.

Server admins add skills: instructions the agent follows in the whole server, or in one channel. A skill changes the style and the topics of the answers - "Reply in a calm, formal tone" - but it can't give a member more permissions. A server can have up to 10 skills.

The bot owner (the person who runs the bot) picks the AI provider, its key and the model, decides who may use the agent, and writes the base prompts. Server admins with the Administrator permission add skills for their server or one channel. Members make their own requests, with .agent, a mention, a reply or the bot's name.

Only a member's own message starts the agent - an alias, a scheduled command or a command that the agent runs never does.

On the public NadekoBot, the AI agent is for patrons. On a bot you host yourself, you choose the AI provider and who may use the agent. NadeKloud bots don't have the AI agent yet.
